Attorney Steward has 20 years of corporate, legal, and higher education experience. His corporate background includes positions with several fortune 500 companies. Attorney Steward also has served as an adjunct professor with Capital University and Columbus State Community College.
In the fall of 2011, Attorney Steward was elected to serve the citizens of Columbus, Ohio as a member of the Columbus City Schools Board of Education. As a board member he serves on the Audit and Accountability Committee and Board-City Standing Committee. Attorney Steward serves as board chair of Art Safe, is a member of the Advisory Board for Miami Jacobs Career College. Formerly, he served as Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Attorney Steward is active with his church and is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Attorney Steward is a native of Columbus. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University's College of Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration degree from Franklin University's Graduate School of Business, and a Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio, the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Ohio and Northern District of Ohio.
